Come meet and hear educator, writer, and oral historian, Mary Romney-Schaab!

On Saturday, April 20, author Mary Romney-Schaab will be at Avery Street Church to speak about her award-winning book An Afro-Caribbean in the Nazi Era, in which she tells her father’s unique story as an Afro-Caribbean civilian merchant sailor who survived imprisonment in the Nazi concentration camp system during WWII.

The event will begin with lunch at noon, after which Ms. Romney-Schaab will speak for about 40 minutes, followed by dessert and about 20 minutes of Q & A. This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
