Vision Statement

Avery Street Christian Reformed Church strives to be a church in which we grow together in the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God and in the fullness of the love and unity of Christ.

We seek to be a commumity of believers which connects the thoughts of our minds to the devotion of our hearts to the work of our hands.

We seek in our beliefs to be faithful to scripture, to recognize all people as image bearers of God, and to be relevant in our community.

Core Values

Biblical:
God's Word is the ultimate guide and authority for our life and ministry.

We will depend on God's guidance and strength as provided to us through faithful times of seeking His blessing through prayer.

All our ministries will serve to fulfill Christ's calling to seek the lost and  disciple the found.

We will serve God's calling wholeheartedly and make every effort to avoid superficiality with Him and with each other.

We will communicate God's love in ways that are clear and understanding and relate to the situations in which people find themselves.

We commit ourselves to love and care for each other and our neighbors with sensitivity and humility.
